David McMillan is a former actor on the verge of turning thirty. Together with his roommate Candy and his best friend Bernie, David encounters a number of seductive strangers in their search for love and sex. However, the games turn ugly when it appears one of the strangers might be a serial killer. A compelling study of young adults groping for meaning in a senseless world.
-
Frustrated by the lack of love and affection in his life, celebrated gay painter David McMillan returns to his humble beginnings as a waiter where he hopes to find his lost creativity. He finds that more and more in the arms of his married male employer, Matt. Matt inspires David to paint the best pictures of his life. However, the affair forces David to face new realities about himself and his world when he reexamines his long-time friendship with a straight female gossip columnist, and when he watches his transsexual roommate live with being HIV positive. Premiered in the US in Cincinnati before opening at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Premiered in Canada in Edmonton.
-
Amidst the backdrop of a serial killer on the loose, several friends search for their own ideals of love, sex, and relationships in this age of uncertainty. A brutal, compelling, thought provoking and even comic exploration of all of the above.
-
At thirty-something, Matt suddenly finds himself looking for more than reckless flings with younger partners -- he wants maturity and commitment. He meets Martin Yesterday, a middle-aged city councillor, and his prayer seems to be answered. Martin, however, is not always forthcoming about his private affairs, and holds some very dark secrets. Originally commissioned for CBC Radio, this play premiered in Canada in Toronto before being reworked and produced in Edmonton.

Inspired by Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House, Snake in Fridge examines the everyday lives of not so everyday characters.
A group of eight misfits living in a misfit house go about their daily business in true Fraser style: Corbett works in porno and owns a pet snake; Caddie is a stripper; Travis is a busboy who aspires to be a waiter; and someone who lives in the house is a murderer. As bizarre things begin to happen, the house members wonder if it's the snake they hear at night - or is the house making them do bad deeds? As Violet says, "Nothing good ever happened in this house."
-
In sharp, non-stop dialogue, Brad Fraser brings each of his characters to life with a depth, humor, and emotion that tears open the nuclear family and finds the heart that is often lost and forgotten.
