“Lynn Kerstan’s talents continue to reach new heights as she explores all aspects of the human heart: the good, the evil, and the passionate.” Romantic Times
Lady Magdalen Drewe has devoted her life to her orphaned sisters, fiercely determined to protect them from the attentions of predatory males like the too-charming Earl of Keverne. But it’s the spinster who has caught his eye, and when he carries her off to his estate by the sea, she knows he is every bit the scoundrel she had thought. But he also understands her as no one has ever done and shows her how to create a flourishing life of her own. Well, after she puts a bullet in him. . . .
“Kerstan is a superbly talented writer.” Contra Costa Times
“A new star in the tradition of Mary Balogh, Lynn Kerstan moves onto my personal shortlist of must-read authors….Snappy, fast-paced, entertaining, (and) wonderfully witty.” The Romance Reader -

and a partridge in a pear tree . . .
In Coventry's Christmas, Rebecca Hagan Lee offers a charming new story. With Christmas approaching, Amabel Thurston is ordered from the family home by her father's widow and must seek the protection of her guardian, Deverel Brookfield, eighth Marquess of Coventry. Unfortunately, the Devil of Coventry has little use for Christmas and even less for proper young ladies.
In the never-in-print Star of Wonder, Lynn Kerstan brings her special brand of magic to the page when an exotic and dangerous stranger arrives to disrupt the meager Christmas of Stella Bryar, who has struggled to support the family retainers in the wake of her father's death.
Allison Lane's newest Christmas treat is A Christmas Homecoming. When prodigal son Alex Northcote returns from a six year absence to take control of the family estate, he must run a gauntlet of possible brides, who have all been installed for a holiday house party by his determined grandmother. Avoiding the trap would have been so much easier, if the guest list hadn't included a quiet widow, who once jilted him for another.
In the classic Home for Christmas, Alicia Rasley gives us a Christmas with a bit of intrigue. When Ve -
Praise for Gwen's Ghost:
This was one of the most heartwarming books I have ever read. I loved every moment of it. The hero is the kind of man a woman dreams about and the heroine is the kind of woman a woman can admire. A lovely touching read.
retroredux
A compelling, out-of-touch rake and a plain, prickly heroine come together here in a funny, involving Regency. Social history buffs will find the book well-researched. Kerstan and Rasley have each written acclaimed Regencies; however, they joined forces via computer to produce this one. Readers will hope the collaboration continues.

Story Overview
Eternity
is a bloody bore for Valerian Caine. A swashbuckling, amoral 18th Century rake, he was cut down in a duel at age 27 by a ricocheting bullet fired by a cuckolded husband. Now stewing resentfully in a bureaucratic afterlife, he leaps at the chance to regain his human form and return to his previous existence. But there's a catch. He'll be transported to the England of a hundred years later, where he'll have one month to end the family feud launched by that fatal duel and ensure the happiness of the Caine and Sevaric descendants. If he succeeds, he'll be transported back to his former life and the bullet will miss him. But standing between him and his goal is the obstinately unhappy and ascerbic Gwen Sevaric--and his surprising desire to be forever the one who makes her smile.
More Praise:
This book is really about a wonderfully written Georgian rake who's forced to consider the consequences of his actions a century ago and improve the lives of those affected by such. His reformation is quite a joy to read, and much of the story is told from Valerian's POV.
AJ the Original
Shades of "It's a Wonderful Life"--clever,with a twist! I bought this book on the strength of some good reviews and having enjoyed previous Kerstan books. The ghost angle made me a bit leery of the book, because I generally don't like romances with ghosts in them and usually find them to be pretty melodramatic. However, this was a notable exception....This book is clever, entertaining, and touching.
