This book covers everything from basic strategy to counting cards, from maximizing potential going solo to playing on a blackjack team. Casino comps, tournaments, location play, shuffle tracking, playing in disguise, outwitting the eye in the sky, and other advantage-play techniques--it's all here. Best of all, the techniques you learn in BLACKJACK BLUEPRINT can be used part-time as a money-making hobby, just as author Rick Blaine has used them for years while pursuing a career in finance.

Phil Hellmuth, Jr., winner of nine WSOP titles and author of Play Poker Like the Pros "Blackjack is definitely a game that you can make money playing, and this book shows you how to do it!"
Blackjack is by far the most popular casino table game. The reason is because it has the lowest house edge. While other table games give the house a minimum 3% edge, blackjack provides close to even odds for players willing to learn what is called "basic strategy." And for players who are able to learn card counting, blackjack is actually a beatable game. But the reality is that out of the millions of people who play blackjack, only a small percentage will take the time or make the effort to play perfect basic strategy. And very few players will take the time to learn card counting. Most of those who do will ultimately fail in a live casino environment.
So what’s a reasonably intelligent person to do? Among the blackjack books available today, few take readers beyond basic strategy, and of those that do, virtually none balance the necessary level of detail with a simple approach that is easily understood by everyone (not just math whizzes and autistic savants).
BLACKJACK: PLAY LIKE THE PROS is a comprehensive and easy-to-understand guide to playing and winning at blackjack. John Bukofsky—an expert player and card counter with over twenty years experience—provides readers with clear and engaging instruction in everything from the basics of game-play and strategy, up to and including card counting at the professional level.
In it, readers will find:
• A step-by-step approach that is easily understood by both beginners and serious players looking to take their game to a higher level. Though the book involves a technical subject, the writing style is casual yet clearly defines and explains each facet of the process. • Attention to details and finer points that are only touched on in many other books. • Chapters on betting and bankroll, casino countermeasures, camouflage techniques, and many of the other topics necessary to become a successful advantage player. • A chapter dedicated solely to "negative swings," which are the number one reason many aspiring serious players end up leaving the game. • Presentation of two separate point counts, which allows the reader to choose the system most suitable to him or her, depending on individual goals, time allowances, motivation, interface, etc.The greatest feature of this book is its instruction in the holy grail of blackjack: card counting. Bukofsky shows readers how to learn and master the technique that many think is simply too difficult to learn, much less use in an actual casino. He also covers the intangibles playing under real world conditions, including many aspects not in any way associated with the actual mechanics of card counting.
How do we know that John Bukofsky is an expert card counter? Simple: he’s been barred from playing blackjack in Las Vegas and harassed in Atlantic City and Connecticut. He’s also played alongside some of the most prominent and prolific gamblers in the world at the Casino de Monte Carlo.
John’s expertise in the mathematics of card counting became apparent by age thirteen, which led to a life-long interest in the game. An engineer by profession, John understands the need for precision and clarity, which he brings to this book. As a result, he has written the most intelligent and up-to-date book on blackjack ever written, one that goes into every level of the game. BLACKJACK: PLAY LIKE THE PROS is destined to become the bible for the next generation of blackjack players.
"A savvy, comprehensive text that covers the essentials of winning blackjack from soup to nuts. Bukofsky is an excellent writer, whose ‘hold-your-hand’ style makes it easy for the reader to master, sequentially, the skills needed to become a successful player. Many blackjack books skimp on details, especially when it comes to the mathematics of the game or complete card-counting systems. Not so here. I highly recommend it."--Don Schlesinger, author of Blackjack Attack: Playing the Pros’ Way

For ex-cop Tony Valentine, life in balmy Florida provides little R&R. In fact, he’s in demand now more than ever. Armed with a special grift sense, Valentine can spot card cheats and even bigger game whose sole purpose on earth is to relieve a casino of its cash. But when his son, who was going to card-counting school, goes missing, Valentine jets to Las Vegas. Once in town, he is pressed into service—and lands inside a treacherous game with higher stakes than he has ever encountered before.
There’s a new casino in town, aptly named Sin, the largest on The Strip: three thousand guest rooms and a gambling floor as big as an airport terminal. The owners of Sin want Valentine to show them how the scams are done. But these powerful men harbor ulterior motives: They want to use their newfound skills to put a rival casino out of business.
Sin’s competition is the Acropolis, run by Valentine’s longtime pal. Nick taps Tony to figure out how an amateur won $50,000 at his blackjack tables. But the small job is full of landmines. For starters, the suspect bears a strong resemblance to his late wife. What’s more, Valentine’s son is still M.I.A. Upping the ante, a dead stripper is found with Valentine’s calling card—and her grief-stricken boyfriend is vowing revenge.
Yet in a city where barracudas wear pinstripes, time seems motionless even while it flies, and reality and illusion shift depending on the neon light, a greater threat maneuvers through the streets: an all-new breed of criminal with an agenda propelled by fury that will shake not just Valentine, but the city of Las Vegas. -

"Here we go, I said to myself as my system electrified with the familiar rush of adrenaline."
An elite unit armed to the teeth, the Mobile Guerrilla Force was America's only real guerrilla force in Vietnam. These men operated for weeks at a time--springing ambushes, destroying base camps, and gathering vital intelligence--in steamy, triple-canopied jungles ruled by the VC and NVA.
On July 18, 1967, Special Forces medic James Donahue and his platoon were on a mission, code-named Blackjack-34, to locate enemy units for the 1st Infantry to destroy. But instead a crack enemy battalion found them.
Now Donahue bears witness to the bloody events of that day and the exceptional grit and determination of his teammates. BLACKJACK-34 is a magnificent tribute to the warriors of Mobile Guerrilla Force--their courage, heroism, and willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice. -

This new Blackjack Counter (as in "Card Counter") Basic Strategy card for 4-8 Decks is a blackjack card counter's dream come true. The laminated, six-panel, tri-fold card with rounded corners devotes four panel sides to covering the possible rule combinations of allowing or not allowing doubling down after a split, and the dealer hitting or standing on soft 17. Thus the card contains four playing strategies to allow you to choose the correct playing strategy for the rules that are in effect where you play.
The strategies display color-coded decision cells in addition to showing the text of the decision so you can choose which way you learn best. Also, each strategy panel is section-coded to facilitate learning the most important decisions first. Surrender is included among the decisions, and footnotes provide alternatives when decisions are not allowed. The 3.5" x 5" panel size makes possible larger text than on other strategy cards and three-letter (not confusing one-letter) decision abbreviations, yet the card still fits in your pocket.
End panels, which contain slits, are designed to fold in both directions and to lay flat to make it easy for you to quickly refer to the strategy you wish to use. One panel contains a pithy, insightful discussion of the playing decisions to help new players learn how to play the game; another panel provides a table which shows the Player Edge for each of four rule combinations.
By using this Blackjack 6·7·8 Counter Basic Strategy Card, card counters will be able to get an even greater edge over the house.
If you count cards and vary your bet with the count, or plan on so doing, using the Counter (as in "Card Counter") Basic Strategy card results in winning about 20% more money than using regular Basic Strategy (the Counter Basic Strategy card shows a table with the Player Edge). There are no count indexes to memorize. Counter Basic Strategy is simply a variation of regular Basic Strategy except that Counter Basic Strategy utilizes a card counting method (such as the Hi-Lo or K-O) to determine when and by how much to vary your bet with the count. The playing strategies on the Counter Basic Strategy card are based on a bet range of 16 to 1, but the card can be used with virtually any bet range and any counting method.
Blackjack 6-7-8 strategy cards are also available for Basic (Playing) Strategy for 1 Deck, 2 Decks, and 4-8 Decks. The titles of the four different cards are color-coded (red, purple, blue, and green) so you can easily and quickly distinguish one card from another.

"You have to react instinctively. In this game there's no second place, only the quick and the dead."
In Vietnam, Mobile Guerrilla Force was the only American unit that truly carried out guerrilla-style hit-and-run military operations. Armed with silencer-equipped MK-II British Sten guns, M-16s, M-79s, and M-60s, the men of the Mobile Guerilla Force roamed for weeks at a time through steamy triple-canopy jungle in areas owned by NVA and VC, destroying base camps, ambushing enemy forces, and gathering the intelligence Saigon desperately needed.
In 1967, James Donahue was a Special Forces medic and an assistant platoon leader for the Mobile Guerrilla Force's fiercely anti-Vietnamese Cambodian mercenaries. On mission Blackjack-33, they were to act as bait and lure VC and NVA regiments into decisive engagements so that they could be targeted and destroyed by the 1st Infantry Division. Well, the MGF did its job, but the 1st Infantry Division refused to show up. . . .
Now, with the brutal, unflinching honesty only an eyewitness could possess, Donahue relives the deadly adrenaline rush of firefights conducted on the run and medical operations performed under fire, capturing the savage courage and sacrifice of these proud U.S. and Cambodian warriors. -
